Whaaat!? Yesterday BET officials released the nominations for the 2010 BET Awards (airing live June 27 8:00pm/7:00ct) and the biggest shocker came when pop sensation Justin Bieber was nominated for Best New Artist.

Alongside the tween are rap group Young Money (Lil’ Wayne), rappers Wale and Nicki Minaj and singer Melanie Fiona.
My question is, besides his single Baby, which features Ludacris how many of Bieber’s songs appeal to BET’s audience? In my opinion, he’s had MTV stamped on his forehead since he emerged on the scene.

Furthermore, how is it that BET can separate Nicki Minaj from the Young Money crew but not Drake? He deserves a nomination for Best New Artist, don’t you think?

Mark my word, Lil Wayne and Young Money or Nicki Minaj is taking home the award. If Justin Bieber does there will be smoke in the city and I’ll be sitting right here watching as the smoke clears.
